CARE & MAINTENANCE

CLEANING TUB & Shower walls:

  1. Heat 1/2 cup of white vinegar in the microwave for 90 seconds and pour into a spray bottle.

  2. Add 1/2 cup of blue Dawn dish soap into spray bottle. Shake gently to mix.

  3. Spray tub and shower doors and let it sit for 30 minutes.

  4. Rinse with water and wipe down.

CLEANING & REMOVING SOAP SCUM:

  • We recommend using Lysol 4 in 1 Bath Cleaner or any non-abrasive cleaner.

  • Scrub residue on shower pans with Sterling scrubber provided upon your install with us. You may also use a soft bristle brush, and rinse thoroughly.

  • Sterling Scrubbing pads are available for purchase in our office. You may also call (808)841-5434 to check if scrubbers are available.

CLEANING & MAINTAINING CAULKING in shower:

  • For our installations we use mold and mildew resistant silicone for your shower, however mildew in Hawaii is inevitable (due to the humidity).

  • You can use Clorox based products like Tilex or X-14. It is important to rinse thoroughly after using these products!

TIPS ON MAINTAINING GLOSSY FINISH:

  • Use Gel-Gloss or any non-abrasive polish for cultured marble surfaces.

  • do NOT use abrasive scrubbing pads or abrasive cleaners.

  • Buffing out old cultured marble is similar to buffing a car. You can use a buffing pad to bring back a shiny finish.

  • Because cultured marble contains resin, the marble will naturally discolor over time. This process happens slowly yet gracefully, but unfortunately there is no way to avoid this aging process.
